Academic Dress
The form of academic robes worn by fellows and officers of the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons follow traditions which can be traced back to the ecclesiastical robes of mediaeval Europe, when dress often symbolized the rank and profession of the wearer. The academic dress of HKCOS serves as a physical representation of the College, as well as the achievements and responsibilities of its wearer.
