College has established systems of honor and award to (1) fellows or individuals who have made outstanding contributions to orthopaedic surgery or to the College and (2) trainees who have achieved excellent performance in the Joint Fellowship Examination in Orthopaedic Surgery in Hong Kong. These honors and awards include: |

1. Honorary Fellow
|
HONORARY FELLOW Honorary Fellowship is the highest honour of the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons. This is conferred to an individual who has made distinguished contributions to the College. An Honorary Fellow may quote his / her title as "Honorary Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons (Hon FHKCOS)" or in Chinese "香港骨科醫學院榮譽院士". |

AD HOMINEM FELLOWSHIP Ad Hominem Fellowship is an honour of our College. This is conferred to an individual who does not practice orthopaedic surgery in Hong Kong but has made distinguished contributions to orthopaedic surgery or to the College. An Ad Hominem Fellow may quote his / her title as "Ad Hominem Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons (Ad Hom FHKCOS)" or in Chinese "香港骨科醫學院名譽院士" . |

SIR HARRY FANG AWARD Our Founding President, Professor Sir Harry Fang has kindly donated the "Gold Medals" to the College. These gold medals are presented to the examination candidates with outstanding performance. The requirement for gold medalist is very stringent. Since the establishment of this award system in 1998; there were only 20 brilliant young Fellows who became the Gold Medalists. |
